Ghost

Seeing that my last 2 posts didn't have any of my art, I'll post a piece of mine now.
This was a project for a Photoshop class. I had to make a surreal piece. I decided to create a "real" ghost picture. If you look closely you can see faces in the torso.

Looney Tunes

If you live on Long Island like I do, then you've probably heard about Looney tunes being burnt down. Looney tunes is, or perhaps I should say was an independent cd store in West Babylon.
It was a landmark having a lot of history, a wide selection of cd's, and frequently visited by celebrities. I remember meeting Ozzy there when I was 15.

When the store burnt down, the owners boarded what was left up, and spray painted a message.

This message caused the former customers to add some messages or there own. Words of support, and hopes that the store will be back soon.

It's good to see that so many people want the store to come back soon, I left a message there myself too, and so can you. Somebody left a marker for anybody to use. This isn't graffiti, it's signing a cast.

Opening Statement.

Welcome to my blog. "The Revolution Will Be Illustrated." This first post will be used to explain a few things.

The first thing I would like to explain is that I am by no means a revolutionary, and I don't plan on being one. I do feel that illustration is something powerful enough to cause revolution, it's art and art can influence an entire world, and become a part of it's culture. It is culture.

That said, allow me to Introduce myself. My name is Dylan Erb. As I type this I'm 20 years old, and I'm an illustration student at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology). This blog will be used to document my art as I learn, and hopefully my skill in the craft increases. I'll be posting works in progress, sketches, finished products, and other experiments of mine.

In addition to my art, I'll be including anything that strikes me, something that can show the power of an image. If I think i should then i will share it here.

Welcome to myblog, I hope you enjoy what I'll have to show...
